چکیده
We investigate the properties of two anti-parity-time (anti-PT )-symmetric four-site scattering centers. The anti-PT -symmetric center may have imaginary couplings, real and on-site potentials. only difference between centers is coupling central sites center, which plays a crucial role in determining parity symmetry significantly affects properties. For coupling, even-parity possesses nonunitary reflection transmission unity; for odd-parity unitary sum unity. coupling-induced different behaviors are verified numerical simulations. Our findings reveal that significant dynamics can be caused by slight similar non-Hermitian

From scattering theory to complex wave dynamics in non-Hermitian PT-symmetric resonators.
I review how methods from mesoscopic physics can be applied to describe the multiple wave scattering and complex wave dynamics in non-Hermitian PT-symmetric resonators, where an absorbing region is coupled symmetrically to an amplifying region. Scattering theory serves as a convenient tool to classify the symmetries beyond the single-channel case and leads to effective descriptions that can be ...
متن کاملUnitary Matrices and Hermitian Matrices
Unitary Matrices and Hermitian Matrices Recall that the conjugate of a complex number a + bi is a − bi. The conjugate of a + bi is denoted a+ bi or (a+ bi)∗. In this section, I’ll use ( ) for complex conjugation of numbers of matrices. I want to use ( )∗ to denote an operation on matrices, the conjugate transpose. Thus, 3 + 4i = 3− 4i, 5− 6i = 5 + 6i, 7i = −7i, 10 = 10. Complex conjugation sati...
متن کاملOn Scattering from Localized non-Hermitian Potentials
We highlight the conceptual issues that arise when one applies the quasi-Hermitian framework to analyze scattering from localized non-Hermitian potentials, in particular complex square-wells or deltafunctions. When treated in the framework of conventional quantum mechanics, these potentials are generally considered as effective theories, in which probability is not conserved because of processe...
متن کاملScattering theory using smeared non-Hermitian potentials
Complex, non-Hermitian potentials V (x) 6= V (x) can often generate the standard, normalizable bound states ψ(x). Unfortunately, the idea [based on the use of a nonlocal ad hoc metric Θ(x, x) 6= δ(x − x) in Hilbert space] cannot directly be transferred to scattering [cf. H. F. Jones, Phys. Rev. D 78, 065032 (2008)]. We complement and modify this result by showing that a return to the causal and...
متن کاملA Possible Method for Non-Hermitian and Non-PT-Symmetric Hamiltonian Systems
A possible method to investigate non-Hermitian Hamiltonians is suggested through finding a Hermitian operator η+ and defining the annihilation and creation operators to be η+ -pseudo-Hermitian adjoint to each other. The operator η+ represents the η+ -pseudo-Hermiticity of Hamiltonians. As an example, a non-Hermitian and non-PT-symmetric Hamiltonian with imaginary linear coordinate and linear mo...
